Special Projects

Core to JFEW’s identity is its flexibility and responsiveness.
We express this through emergency grants, support for time-sensitive projects, and investments in new, strategically aligned initiatives.

Emergency Grants

JFEW recognizes that life can be unpredictable for students with financial need, and that unexpected expenses – even small ones – can derail students’ goals. That is why for the past twenty years, JFEW has dedicated specific funds to support emergency grants. Through the generosity of family-endowed funds, JFEW has helped college students cover sudden expenses so they can persist in and complete their degrees. Special Projects

Circumstances locally, nationally and globally can pose sudden challenges to students seeking a college degree. While JFEW’s campus-based College and Heritage programs are multi-year commitments, we also make smaller, short-term grants to help students committed to women’s educational and professional advancement persist in and complete college under trying conditions. JFEW also allocates funds to invest in new, strategically aligned opportunities in the post-secondary space.
